A Fine Line

Dawning leisurely, it won't feel slow
It will be impetuous
Snapping into the night
Expensing time apart

Oblivious of how to stitch yourself back
Fit yourself at the crook of their neck
In the space between their arms
As if you never left the core

Spiralling insignificant nothings
Salvaging pieces of innocent comments
Humans, we are who pick on wounds and scabs
Seeing the friction to see the reaction

Falling in love to do the impassable
Vowing what we can’t vow
Promises hanging in the air
Like splintered fragments

Blocking the shrine in your mind
It always dawns leisurely
To be in the arms around tender love
Yet falling out of love
