Her soul was wrecked, her body weak when she heard the cry of her first son He came in premature by a week Ah his face was bright like a sun He was her part, she did not sell As she passed all eyes did stare She felt stuck inside a cell As she left him on the church stair Now in her life everything is right An affectionate husband and child one Heaps of happy stories to write Tons of accolades she won She may look selfish and mean For his cradle, not ever did she rock All the wealth and joy nothing did they mean For her heart has turned to rock _____________ _____________
