A Quest for Peace

Reciting a fable as her teary eyes wept Breathing were characters as people lay dead To child who earned his dreams as he slept Cradled on her lap, life is better in his head In it there is shade and in it the sorrows fled Every flip of page to an unknown turned Without a word a world worth was said Without a word, many silences returned There is nothing to say, no one left to hear The sounds of destruction so loud Fear falls silent, and silent falls a tear The Sun falters to cross this ominous cloud In search of peace, they ardently went to war While peace takes its last breath from shores afar. ____ ____ Penmancy gets a small share of every purchase you make through these links, and every little helps us continue bringing you the reads you love!
