A Refugee

I have never seen a home with people mine, Rarely been welcomed with smiles known, Never played hopscotch in a familiar garden, I am a refugee, nothing gained or lost in my journey. Rarely been welcomed with smiles known, As new faces greeted me in every place, Some willed me to stay on for days few, Others blatantly compelled me to go. Never played hopscotch in a familiar garden, Or played in a team, a game of cricket, Winning and losing are still strangers to me, Is childhood someplace I did not stop by? I am a refugee, nothing gained or lost in my journey, I walk on, through the diverse layers of life alone, Wooing the weathering valleys, rivers and mountains,  Looking for a resting place before I reach the Lord!   Penmancy gets a small share of every purchase you make through these links, and every little helps us continue bringing you the reads you love!
