A Requiem for Love

Once upon a spring When birds from faraway lands Came calling to us We ran through flaming forests Our hearts fluttering as one Once upon a year When stars fell like pouring rain From nebulous nights We dreamed of unending skies Our souls soaring to heaven Once upon an age When sunsets became bloodless Like fading flowers You and I sat in the dark Our hands tangled in silence Once upon a life When those tired days were dying Like trees in winter You and I lay in the snow Our love frozen stiff in time. _________________ For more of such content follow us on Social Media:
