Agony of a Mother

Months, she carried him in her womb  And eagerly awaited  To hold him in her arms. But happiness stayed  Only for a brief while As the baby was stillborn.  Her eyes flooded with tears, And her voice choked in pain Piercing her heart. A plethora of emotions  She swayed when she saw her Son lay on his deathbed.  Eventually, her womb healed,  But the tormented soul Never found any remedy. Even today, after decades, Staring at the sky, she prays No mother should bury her child.
