Bare and Burdened

Holding riches of contentment Flying light traversing barbed miles endless, Haggard mien barefoot, unabated dream Enthralling emmer sunshine beckoning.

Stories they heard, glorious land lush Rosy days where nights resplendent River munificent flowing elixir Blissful promised land, hope burgeoning. Frayed bindle of burden, penury a dent On shoulders frail, life is heavy Thatched roof leaking 'n broke present Left childhood alleys, hunger extreme Lofty skyline opulence fetid, lament Lowly stifled by the din, life is grim. ______________________________
