In spring this year when nature smiled Her winsome eyes left me beguiled She lived opposite my room from whose window I would admire her and let my first love grow Often she sat by her casement to watch the sky Oh, her love for the birds and the clouds floating by One fine day when I saw her looking at me Hope thrilled my heart and I danced in glee I resolved to reveal my feelings for her I smiled at my love but alas, her lips didn’t stir I smiled a second smile and yet she ignored Miserable made me this coldness of the one I adored I rushed to tell her I won’t see the morrow But wept to find her eyeless and in sorrow ________________________ For more of such content follow us on Social Media:
