Broken But Beautiful

“A whole year has almost passed Tell me, what have you amassed?” Her question prompts introspection, And warrants ample inspection. “Misses, losses, heartbreak, and unease, Haven’t you all seen better times than these?” Her taunts awaken my deep-rooted fears, Memories, beseeching prayers, and tears. I shattered into tiny fragments galore, Yet, carefully glued back the pieces, once more. Learning gratitude and hope, Reminding myself to cope. Forged by fire, conditioned by heat. Every challenge ready to meet. She, my self-doubt, starts to dissipate. Marking a new dawn to celebrate!
