Dreams
Not a princess,
Definitely not a queen,
Simply a girl next door,
Without any luxuries or riches,
But full of aspirations and dreams.
I walk to school daily,
I dream of a car,
To save me and my siblings,
Of the scorching heat and nasty rains,
And difficult terrains.
Often craving for simple meals,
Pinches me life’s ordeal,
I dream of basic meals,
But not a Gourmet,
Life for me is now a, meh.
The leaking roof
Never lets me sleep,
I often silently weep,
And still I dream,
Of a cozy house.
I dream and dream,
Of basic necessities,
Not of luxury and prosperity
Which I vow to fulfil,
Amidst the challenges, life quills.
