Drizzling Divinity

Priya Washikar posted under PenMuse-41 Poetry on 2022-05-19

Drizzling drops of transcendent, alluring art
Slide down the window pane
And I sigh in long-lost felicity, as my pluviophile heart
Welcomes the first pearls of rain

Forlorn and parched; I feel like the arid terrain
Ah! The petrichor emanates lingeringly
Though his bittersweet memories still hauntingly remain
This fragrance caresses me soothingly

The divine driblets kiss my upturned cheeks fleetingly
And ease my soul of this unyielding pain
They pirouette and smile down at me reassuringly
And I know, I shall learn to love again!
