Embers of Love

Between my paused breaths, Mon amour, I yearn, My vapid eyes shed tears with gnawing pain, Like wilted roses, piece by piece I fall, My tarnished verses pine for thy return. Spring vanished sadly, autumn seems so stern, A distant winter storm doth brew with rage, My unheard songs echo in deep despair,  Between my paused breaths, Mon amour, I yearn. Our soulful hearts with passion once did burn, The sands of time- it shoved us far apart, In salvaged embers oft I seek solace, My tarnished verses pine for thy return. Between my paused breaths, Mon amour, I yearn, And garner all redolent moments past, My tarnished verses pine for thy return.   Penmancy gets a small share of every purchase you make through these links, and every little helps us continue bringing you the reads you love!
