First Love

Her smile had a way to put me at ease Pleasant and genuine, one of a kind The spark in her eyes, like a rare diamond Alluring and enchanting, held me still One day she said, shyly," Don’t stare at me!" "Don’t blame me, its your pretty face", I said. She laughed, oh how melodious it was! Years passed by, I searched for her everywhere, In the raindrops after a heavy rain, In the tiny dew drops, at every dawn. I never could find a visage like her's. My heart grew weak, I laid sick on the bed. To see her one last time, before I die Became my prayer every passing hour. One night, my breath ceased all of a sudden, Her smile welcomed me and put me at ease. ___________________ For more of such content follow us on Social Media:
