I would rather be quiet than speak to please I prefer distance than being too near for ease But I love the pleasure of an effortless talk In the lap of nature on a countryside walk To an animated self, questions I shoot To find the answers my senses cahoot Words don't come out without enough thought They stay in, where all the battles are fought The lips stay mum yet ears do the listening Eyes blink slowly, understanding thickening I can feel the ground touching my feet say 'Don't fret. Everything's gonna be okay!' The fragrant breeze breaks into an applause Tells me to come often to reflect and pause To keep solitude at the front of the shelf And seek my truths in conversations with self ______
