He took her hands, in a warm cusp Squeezing them, smilingly, said, “May we never meet here again” Anywhere else will do, not this hospital bed! A warmth of kindness surrounded her lost years, She returned his warm gaze in gratitude, “Here again, may we never meet,” she said, confident in her renewed attitude They bade her goodbye and loads of luck She whispered, waving at her doctors, caretakers, “May we never meet here again” Her heart was full with new family members.
