Hope-the Savior

Beneath several layers dark and deep
Buried and forgotten lie woven dreams
Broken and scattered they sadly weep
Bruised, they wane and let out muted screams

Echoing memories from the brutal past
Engulf the present with growing might
Enveloping gloom threatens to last
End of tunnel seems out of sight

Crawling amidst a murky swamp
Chains of agony entwine my feet
Caliginous spirits are meek and damp
Closed doors mock at my defeat

Rising dawn brings rays sublime
Renewing the lost songs of hope from yore
Relentless efforts bear fruits with time
Radiant aura seeps within my void core.
