Imprints in the Sands of Time

To the people we meet in the journey of our lives... Though fleeting is the moment Heartfelt is it's intensity  and such is it's profoundness It leaves an inherent mark For years..maybe forever Which even time can't erase Though brief is the rendezvous unfathomable is the magic Some bonds are felt, not explained It's beyond all reasoning and devoid of any logic Realization dawns Only after they've long gone Seldom, many a moons later do we envisage the fact What these meetings, meant to us And how deep, was their impact. A casual fling, was it A compendious encounter Or be it a tryst with friend But in our mind today the poignant question still remains Why is everything so transient Are all good things ephemeral? Do really come to an end? And finally, one fine day When we have a serene moment to sit back, ponder and rewind Do we realize how deep they've embedded their imprints on our soul and our minds ! ____
