Is It Not Hope

Is it not HOPE?  To tuck the children In their bed tight  And wish them sweet dreams  For a morning bright. Is it not HOPE?  To light a Diya  And bow your head  In front of a deity  For your daily bread Is it not HOPE?  To soak lentils overnight  For them to sprout  And have healthy breakfast  To be up and about  Is it not HOPE? That makes us survive  Despite the gloom that surrounds We continue to strive  And love our life.
