Monochrome Melodies

Fragrance from roses seems to wane, My melancholic monologues are meek, Myriad melodies in monochrome tones mourn, My dreams with you have drowned in vain. Vain verses of mine are unheard, They weep silently 'midst looming shadows,  Disjointed, they stray towards territories parched,  Into ashes they are shattered. Shattered, my fervent heart does plea, Wrapped in solitude I wilt day by day, Dirges I mumble dance with a deluge of tears, And reek 'neath stagnant streams sadly. Sadly, pleas don't bridge our distance, Yearnings of my soul diffuse in anguish, My Love! How can I move on when I'm still stranded? My strained breaths harbor your fragrance.     Penmancy gets a small share of every purchase you make through these links, and every little helps us continue bringing you the reads you love!
