Musings of a Paramour

If I ask you to paint me in colours, Wash away not, the dull grey from my life. If I wish for a halo on my head Snap not my horns, so I may slip to hell. If I ask you for a handful of stars, Be sure to put out the sun, so it's dark. If I yearn for a dance under the sky Refuse me not, but make a bed of thorns. If I wish to feel waves beneath my feet, Drown me in love, where I can hardly swim. For you may cloak me in blooms, and let me- Be the virtuous goddess for a day, But by night, I'll be a fallen woman, Slipping through the cracks to darkness again.
