My Summer Vacation

I travelled down memory lane A summer vacation yet again The paddy fields, a golden spread A sight to behold from our train. Grandma stood at the cattle shed As we reached her homestead The golden shower trees swayed Turning the walkway into a yellow bed She always welcomed us with a lemonade Its memory fresh, even after a decade. The backyard was my favourite place Where mangoes and lemons arrayed. Once I found a gift inside my suitcase A smile widened on my little face Grandma had stitched a yellow dress Her last gift, now a sweet embrace. _________________ For more of such content follow us on Social Media:
