He sat besides her bed each day At times he didn't know what to say This was his last chance to cope When everyone else had given up hope He longed for her to recover His friend, confidante and lover He sat there recounting memories Reminiscing happy moments and worries In hope that his words shall reach her Just to make sure she'll remember "Remember when we danced in the rain” “Remember when we fell in love again” And then one bright summer's day  Events fortuitously turned his way As he realized he'd to take a decision On her face came a glimmer of recognition His eyes welled up with the realization Today they almost shared a conversation He knew his love had won He knew 'they' had won ______
