Shattered Songs of Love

It was a summer’s eve in May, A wonderful, radiant day, My thoughts ‘bout you, my sunshine ray. That’s when I saw you with a bouquet of roses with her… The warm summer breeze changed to the cruel wind of winter, As I realized that we’d no longer be together. That day’s etched clear in my mind, Another love you did find, I walked away, felt resigned. My heart was shattered, The pleas I’d whispered To you went unheard. Plunged into darkness, Agony endless, My life’s in distress.
