Sorrow

It was so very long ago That I became friends with Sorrow I met her at the spring of tears Together we have walked all these years Her eyes are like the black night When in the heavens, not a star is in sight On her lips is a mournful melody To the transience of life, she sings a monody My days are filled with gloom The hours pass by with forebodings of doom She is ever so close beside me As though the sky has fallen into the sea And not until comes my time to go Shall I be free of my old faithful Sorrow. ______________________ For more of such content follow us on Social Media:
