Soul Free

Wish I could fly over the sea To a land far away, unknown Where it'll just be me, a soul lone There, I'd write my heart out, in glee. I sit staring at the sky azure Wondering if it'd drench me too In its hues sapphire, just like the sea And you too, with a tinge of blue So when I drift off I can be one amongst you. Embrace me, as one of your own My feathered friend, I urge to thee Be my seraph, please do agree Emancipate my heart forlorn. Oh, my beloved Albatross, Hold my hand and take me along Let me soar over lands uncharted To gather stories for my verses For, through them, I'd tell the world Of my joy, and how it feels to be free. And once I attain lux et libertas   I’d proudly don the laurel wreath.    Penmancy gets a small share of every purchase you make through these links, and every little helps us continue bringing you the reads you love!
