Spoken Unspoken Words

To converse is truly an art by itself Words and tone of speaker; overwhelms or repels Some speakers try to drown the other's voice and views Whilst others try to butt in when they get the cues It's fun when friends meet to 'catch up' as they say Meeting over coffee is the ideal way Banter, debate or much needed word of advice Healthy conversation soothes; gives a feeling nice Not always words are needed to convey, you know When lovers meet, their eyes carry on the show Language of love is universally spoken In unspoken words too, are feelings awoken When upset, we have debates with our mind Filled with arguments our grey cells we find When for a companion you've only loneliness Conversations are with self and the emptiness Blessed are we to have this wonderful gift of speech With words of love and comfort we can try and reach Lonely and sad folks who yearn to be spoken to Conversations are good tonics and balms too ______
