The Bridge Across Forever

A metaphysical love story told from the man's point of view, this book traverses through the concept of soulmates. The story of Richard and Leslie has been told in a mystical style which describes the multi-dimensional aspects of souls interacting across time. This is not your regular love story and does not delve into the romance that one may seek. It is beyond that and manages to evoke that kind of longing in the reader as well. Written in an autobiographical style, the story tells of a man's search for that one person that they can call their soulmate. He believes that there is one person in this world who is meant for him and he sets out on a search for her. As he moves ahead, we encounter with him the various relationships that he gets into but is never left satisfied with the process of engaging with them. It is only gradually that he realises that his friend Leslie is possibly his soulmate. And so his quest for his soulmate finds fruition. But the story does not end here. The beauty of this story is in its various layers of human emotions and insecurities. The protagonist manages to piss us at times and at times he becomes the most endearing as he takes us along on this journey of finding love. His fears, his commitment issues, his demons are all brought forth and he explains how he manages to overcome them. The book is sparsed with various life lessons and quotes to live by-
"The opposite of loneliness, it's not togetherness. It is intimacy." "Look in a mirror and one thing's sure: what we see is not who we are." "Next to God, love is the word most mangled in every language. The highest form of regard between two people is friendship, and when love enters, friendship dies."
Even though these quotes mean different things to different people, yet there are truths about love that one cannot deny. Like this-
"We're the bridge across forever, arching above the sea, adventuring for our pleasure, living mysteries for the fun of it, choosing disasters triumphs challenges impossible odds, testing ourselves over and again, learning love and love and love!"
This book is recommended to anyone who is on such a quest or is longing for love or even if they are already in love presently. Go on, grab it! Buy the book here:
