The Chef and the Surgeon

Scrupulous hygiene we command; Theatres and kitchens demand, Obsessive scrubbing, astringent; Intent and efforts diligent. Work for us, is worship. We function best with favoured tools, Methodic, sentimental fools; Oft we see things sliding downhill, Persist, salvage, repair; our drill. Work for us, our canvas. O’er victories we dare not gloat, For next day, their tummies could bloat; Dismissing relish and relief, They’d call us, incompetent thief! Work for us, our poison. Blending in tea, two worlds diverse, One realm to next, mothers traverse; Weekly OT lists, menus in tow, Ladle to scalpel, to and fro. Work for us, a tightrope.   Penmancy gets a small share of every purchase you make through these links, and every little helps us continue bringing you the reads you love!
