The Disappearing One

The chirping of the sparrows, was music to our ears Watching you hop around was a joy to children A memory of the bygone days Balconies are silent, so are verandahs Watching you hop around was a joy to children Stared agape when  you peered from behind photoframes Counting the numerous times you flew carrying hay  Slyly counting eggs in your nest A sweet memory of bygone days Your sudden disappearance Makes me shiver and ponder Did our cellphones drive you away Balconies are silent, so are verandahs  Raven’s wings clipped, to escape doom What can we do to bring you back. Life isn’t  normal without you around…Do comeback   Penmancy gets a small share of every purchase you make through these links, and every little helps us continue bringing you the reads you love!
