The Elegy

With russet ochre hues on trees, Nature mourns the loss of spring,  An autumnal elegy. End of season's verdant fling, Scarlet gold leaves whirl down to earth, Nature mourns the loss of spring Dry twigs cackle laugh in mirth, All things lit by mellow sunshine, Scarlet gold leaves whirl down to earth. Watch, this unfolding scene divine, As she draws the final curtain, All things lit by mellow sunshine. In death she sings the sweetest refrains, Drenching strains in hues of her swan song, As she draws the final curtain. Bids adieu for upcoming winters long; A kaleidoscope of gilded melee, Drenching strains in hues of her swan song, An autumnal elegy.   Penmancy gets a small share of every purchase you make through these links, and every little helps us continue bringing you the reads you love!
