The Fair

The maze of tiny, colourful, temporary stalls Adorned with pride and labour Folks buzzing, bargaining, unlike in malls Artisans outselling the neighbour The blare of dafli, harmonium and tabor Add trance to the fair Happy faces jostling at the jalebi maker High energy in the air The giant wheel for most, a thrilling affair Twinkling lights, the monotony breaker in a tiny hamlet, now filled with fanfare Poverty forgotten by every daily wager   Penmancy gets a small share of every purchase you make through these links, and every little helps us continue bringing you the reads you love!
