The Fall and Rise of Man

I sat alone under the moonless night Pondering the dark destiny of man To me, he seemed like a fallen angel Evicted from the gates of paradise Or a meteor that has burnt itself Before it could reach its destination; I thought of the majesty of his deeds And the abomination of his sins I felt the freezing emptiness of space Slowly drown me in its desolation; I do not know how long I sat alone Under that awning of the moonless night, Countless stars came and went, until one star Rose in the eastern sky, when suddenly My soul leapt in joy dreaming of mankind Rise again like the sun in the dawn sky. ____________________ For more of such content follow us on Social Media:
