In a garden grows a beautiful flower Growing in bunches on an earthly bower Its yellow orange petals look like gold It has a musky scent with soothing power Carrying the Blessed Virgin’s name in its fold Add the richest metal, it becomes Marigold Like pinches of turmeric in a green bucket Medicinal properties it does hold Garlanding the fields in a dense thicket For pests and weeds it acts like a picket Strong and healthy grow plants all and one It adorns its space like an ember carpet Its hues vary, seems like a roasted bun Also known as herb of the sun To the Gods it is offered for worship An important staple of rituals Indian ________________________ For more of such content follow us on Social Media: ________________________
