The Pang of Separation

He got the desired job Everyone Merry and happy.  Congratulations arrived in plenty And friends demanding treats.  I too am happy,  Yet apprehending the separation feeling choking, suppressing the emotions.  Dreading to meet his bright eyes In fear of crying before him.  He will go away to his work place The house will be silent and activities will lessen. Who will pester for tasty items I will miss his sweet irritations.  How I longed for his good life  And when he achieved, why I am in grief? All logic fails when it is about mother and child Which mom wants to part  With the darling she has brought up?  Parents strive all life preparing children for good life. They spend  time money and sleepless nights.  When their flesh and blood  is  ready to fly The nest gets empty, and their hearts cry.  _____ _____ Penmancy gets a small share of every purchase you make through these links, and every little helps us continue bringing you the reads you love!
