The time stood still for him, since they last met With the pillage, loot and riots everywhere It was each other's lives they wished to save Parted their ways, bidding tearful goodbyes The war followed, ensured they never met Never heard of other for years to come the auburn sun reminded him of her rainy misty clouds made him long for her snowfall brought back her memories afresh Years passed, till he decided to get back Now all greying, wasnt sure it was right Reached the same old meeting place, like old times The big tree under which they met, all old Saw a silhouette, wearing the same scarf He knew by his heart's instincts it was her Hands intertwined, their twilight love did bloom. _______________________ For more of such content follow us on Social Media:
