She: It’s the New Year, a new beginning they say How eagerly I was waiting for this day For he has taken a decision, he said  To be disclosed to me, today! And for all that I know him I know pretty well what he’d say- “Will you marry me, my love?” I’d blush a little and then a ‘yes’ will I say! He: It’s the New Year, a new beginning they say Indeed I was waiting for this day The decision I’ve taken, good or bad I need to tell her, today! It doesn’t matter anymore, what others think or say  And when she asks -  “ Are you sure of what you said, my love?” I’d pause a little and then a ‘yes’ will I say! She: My wedding gown is ready almost, hemmed with dreams and desire  Your proposal that I was waiting for, speak my love, those words I yearn to hear! He: My dream job is ready almost, with terms and conditions that apply I’m sorry you don’t fit anywhere there, so I’ve come to say, goodbye ____ ____
