The Wall

I gathered courage and stood facing you. White polished wall to the world but not me, You reflected the bitter sweet memories. While we celebrated the two pink lines, You gladly donned the cute baby posters. Key witness to our parenthood journey, The umpteen frames hardly spared breathing space. Schooling years brought medals for company. Mute spectator to my pacing up down, While I would lay my eyes for her. She leaned on to you for support that day, When scolded for falling in bad company. Looking at me through the garlanded photo, She applauds me for being a good mother. Remembering the brave soul, filled with pride, I offer prayers to my martyred girl. ____________________________ For more of such content follow us on Social Media:
