So simply put, this is the story of two teenage boys, Mateo and Rufus, who discover that they have one day left to live. The book tells us how they meet, and the adventures they have. It's simple, straightforward and honest. It's a story of youth, hope, dreams and most importantly, friendships. A story of meeting people and touching lives, and love.
This is my first book by Adam Silvera, and I have loved it. Deeply and honestly. It made me laugh and cry at the same time. It made me reminisce and relive the brightest moments of my life, spent in the company of the few people who truly matter to me. Reading this book impresses upon me the value of life and the significance of time we have.
To make the most of it.
To cherish the moments, we are making.
To take risks, to fall in love, to be brave and face life head on.
To be kind to people.
To be generous in love.
To be thankful.
To live a life of no regrets (or as little regrets as possible).
It made me wonder what I would do if I discover that I had one more day to live? This is by no means a new concept to artists. This question has been asked time and again, by many. And more and more, I am realising that the answer comes down to -
