Till we meet again

‘Absence makes the hearts grow fonder’
This is something I cannot ponder
The miles are long, far  and wide
But my love shall thrive and never subside.

You loved your bread more than me
The distant lands beckoned thee
You are my soul; you are my shrine
I am more of you then I am mine.

When the twilight shadows begin to fall
And the dusky breeze prepares to howl
Just as  the world  drowns in darkness
Memories knock my door like a tyrant.

Longing for the day of our rendezvous
My heart aches and my feelings brew
I  shall  wait for  you till eternity
Finding solace in solitude and stuck in adversity!
