Un-Married

They were close like the ridges in our palms Yet the distance between them held eternity Like the mountains and the oceans, Even a river of tears couldn't bridge She couldn't write him a letter or a note As tired were her words, of falling on deaf ears Her injured feelings cried through the nights All that salt churned like acid inside her Were they ever meant to be together? Like a gloomy cloud, her mind wavered Can things be made better with love and care? How, when no one reciprocates? Was she born and raised to live this way? She accepted the truth after losing herself Looked in the mirror for a new face That was scared not, of the unknown! Around a blind curve of expectations Her journey took a new turn of faith The bond of the sacred circles dissolved; Separate, shall be her path hence.   ___________________ ___________________ Penmancy gets a small share of every purchase you make through these links, and every little helps us continue bringing you the reads you love!
