Unfading Scars

His final goodbye left her shattered and dazed
She knew not how to gather the fragments of his memories
Spending unfathomable hours reminiscing
She withdrew herself into a cocoon till infinity

As she pondered upon her tribulations
In a sole tear all her emotions were gently encased
She had no one she could blame this for
She was guilty of allowing him to exploit her sensitivity

She tried hard but those scars could not be erased
A lone tear unfailingly adorned her desolate eyes
She knew unless a new life she embraced
With her dignity forever she would be compromising

As this ordeal consummated she tried to remain unfazed
She knew it was the end of an illusory beginning
