Wish

As the stars glisten and glimmer,
The stunning night sky turns darker,
She wished and wished with all her might,
That she would - just once shine as bright,
As the stars in the sky.

She gaped at the alluring moon,
To the darkness, be the bright boon.
She, too, wished she was a bright spark,
Be the only light in the dark.
The bright moon in the sky.

To rain, the rainbow said goodbye,
Soft and sweet like a lullaby,
Yet still beaming so luminous,
A present filled with fruitfulness,
The rainbow in the sky.

The clouds so soft, white and fluffy,
To be so endlessly happy,
With all her strength, she wished - she did,
Be as giving as the clouds did,
The soft clouds in the sky.
