Within Me

A tenuous skein Of entangled thoughts Clump abaft my ears, Squelching, quieting The surrounding din. My breath enkindles, The forlorn passion. Its cinders smolder, The extant torment Buried yonks ago. The untended seeds Of unflagging hope, Burgeon, bloom...before My eyes, impeding Trite reality. Tactile peace pulsates Wafting, wavering, At my fingertips, Hums the hymns of yore, A cadence, sublime. I devour the sky, The verdurous earth, Amber of sunrise, My aura, Chartreuse I morph into Him.
