Parenthood and Mothering

I look at your cherubic face and smile I think ‘what have I got myself into?’ You look like an angel when you are sleeping, But when awake, you are little pixie making trouble, You make me exhausted running after you, Your hugs and sloppy kisses is payment enough, I trip on your toys and use expletives, But when you look at me with innocent eyes, I forget your naughtiness and laugh instead, I make special meals for you, When you don’t eat, I question my ability to cook not you Parenthood makes me mad and restless, But I love every minute of mothering you.   Penmancy gets a small share of every purchase you make through these links, and every little helps us continue bringing you the reads you love!
